Improve Printing Ink Adhesion with Plasma and Flame Surface Treaters
Plasma and Flame treaters provide an instrumental surface prepping process for ink bonding in the decorating, packaging, identification and marking applications.
Low surface energy, contaminants and additives are the main offenders when inks do not bond with a surface. Therefore, when in-line surface treatment is completed before printing, it cleans the surface and creates higher surface energy for adhesion.
Surface treatment is effective with water-based, solvent and UV inks on all types of printing processes, including, digital inkjet, pad, screen, flexographic, and gravure printing.
